Based in London, Ontario, I write character-driven stories filled with sharp banter, emotional messiness, slow-burn tension, and the kind of people who accidentally change each other’s lives. Under the name A.J. Osborne, I write romantic comedies featuring everything from Formula One paddocks to academic disasters. Under Allison Osborne, I explore mystery, suspense, and historical crime fiction with the same love of complicated characters and layered relationships.

Before writing original fiction, I spent years deep in the world of fanfiction — particularly Star Wars — where I discovered my love of dialogue-heavy storytelling, emotionally charged character dynamics, and stories that balance humor with heart. Somewhere along the way, those stories turned into novels of my own.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually spending time with my rabbits, horseback riding, getting lost in research rabbit holes, or talking with fellow readers and writers about books, storytelling, and the characters that refuse to stay quiet once they’ve appeared on the page. I’m always surrounded by books, movie soundtracks, rabbits demanding snacks, and an ever-growing collection of dinosaurs and Star Wars memorabilia

My office is equal parts writing studio and bunny headquarters — though the rabbits would argue they’re the ones running the business.
